Violinist Daniel Hope‘s album, released in the U.S. in mid-March, has received a lot of attention from Deutsche Grammophon, with extensive video previews and pre-release concerts in Europe. The album includes works from the Baroque to the present day, described as a selection of “music of the spheres,” reflecting both “otherworldly timelessness and the modern world.”
New York broadcaster WQXR selected “Spheres” as its album of the week. You can see Hope play composer Ludovico Einaudi’s contribution to the album on this video. There are more videos from the pre-release tour on YouTube.
